already functioning

Is it that time and space are tricks or am I a trick of time and space? Is there something very important hidden between the quantum leap from one orbit to another?

Is true religion not something I can add as a trophy because it’s a condition I have that’s hidden and already functioning? Is it the being, the human animal? Is the human animal my small part of everything? Is my adventure one of discovery, of uncovering, of possibly disappearing?

How do I build the courage to adventure? Can I skirt around my fear of the unknown or must I face it and experience it to the full when it comes and then continue on?

our kingdom

Does it make sense that our birth comes first and sometime later we appear as identities to be useful or not to ourselves and others?

Is it that our identity is added software created by the human animal and its environment and is added as a tool and soon becomes the animal’s most powerful tool? Does language give it its power?

How powerful a position is it to be in control of a human animal? Is it a position so powerful that it will not be given up easily.

Is it that we all know how it feels to be a dictator because each of us is a dictator over our own human animal. And do we abuse our kingdom as dictators and kings are known to do? Is it that our kingdom may be small but it’s still a kingdom?

Why give up control?
Is there more and it’s inside of us?
And outside of us?
And am I in the way?
Of a merging with the universe?
Of a crystal clear awareness?
No church needed?
Nowhere to go?

Since our ride is so immediate, is it easy to ignore? So easy until it becomes ill?

money is a story

Time is money as the saying goes, but at its deepest, is it that time is not money because time can’t be banked and used later? Is this other view of time almost the exact opposite of the saying? Or is this other view of time what makes the saying true? Can both be true?

Is money is a story based on time? Or timely payments?

Is it that time has a much greater value than money because money is just one of the many large stages to act on and time is the structure holding all stages?

Is time the key element because only it can allow the dimensions to do their things? Is time everything? Or are there three things, time the father and space the mother and everything the offspring?

Are we all spenders of the mystery?

Did anyone or anything ever say, “Let there be time”?

“good foods” for a bomb shelter

What is the one word that could be the spearhead to better health?

How about the word cruciferous? But what if someone said “What about organic as the one word?”

Would the reply be that the word cruciferous points to the key group of vegetables having the greatest number and variety of micronutrients along with very few calories? And the word organic has the added step of having to ask organic what? Cruciferous vegetables? But one might one say “Small difference, it’s almost a tie.” Hold on…?

Does the word organic rule out the bad fats and the white carbohydrates, the two huge groups of low-nutrient and high-calorie poisons? Is poisons too harsh a word? Probably, but we are debating here with a straw man. OK, they are “good foods” for a bomb shelter.

Could improving my life be as simple as getting in the habit of noticing more – paying more attention without judging too much or not at all?

What about happiness? If I seek happiness and at the same time do not have to have it, could I learn better how not to chase it but to just let it happen and then notice when it disappears?

Does pursuit cause the pursued to naturally run away? What will attract happiness back once it’s gone?

Below is an excerpt from my book Discovering the Obvious. A representative, from the creators of our universe after relating how they created it, shares their greatest discovery and some advice with us, advice that we already know deeply but don’t go there very often. The representative’s name is Teller.

“We know that you would like to know if other self-aware beings share your universe. We’re not going to reveal whether others share it or not because we think that telling you might take away from your adventuring, and your ability to surprise us as well as your ability to surprise yourselves. However, we will leave you with our greatest discovery and what we think is some good advice.

“Here’s our greatest discovery: The chance to work toward achieving happiness with the possibility of failing to achieve it and the possibility of losing it once it’s been achieved combine to make existing as a self-aware being worthwhile. You might summarize it this way: not being able to know for sure how things will turn out is the backbone of happiness.

“Our advice to you is about how to go about pursuing happiness or satisfaction. The first thing is that you shouldn’t try too hard to achieve either one. Trying too hard can cause what you seek to be continually just out of reach which is frustrating and causes unhappiness and dissatisfaction. You might want to think of happiness or satisfaction as a cat. When you show a great desire for a cat to come to you, what will happen? Most cats will usually move away from you or ignore you. What will happen if you ignore the cat and remain patient? It will usually, in its own time, come to you to receive your attention.

“You may be asking, So, what do I do while I’m waiting for happiness or satisfaction to come around? We suggest that you find something interesting to do and apply yourself, and whether you are working or relaxing, get in the habit of doing it well, and then, while you are occupied and not having to have happiness or satisfaction, one or the other will find you. And as you keep on doing a good job of working and relaxing, happiness and satisfaction will continue to find you again and again.

“You already know these things but sometimes it helps to be reminded.

“Adios for now, Teller”

automatically imaginary

Thoughts obviously take time but do they take up room? Is knowing and understanding old hat? Is it a blessing that we are aware of only a teeny tiny part of what is happening? Is the future and past imaginary and the present mostly imaginary? Is it that we are never alone? Is reality a constant companion but uncared for and ignored?
