all of a sudden

What would we do if all of a sudden we had to communicate without asking questions?

Someone would have to invent the question and then give the shocking news to the world of the discovery of a new golden tool and how it works. If questions hadn’t come into existence, we might be going around giving each other commands like: Give me your opinion! And I mean it!

Were there questions before language? Perhaps using body language, a gesture, or grunts of a certain tone? I wonder about the moments when a human first asked a question as we do today and got an answer.

Do animals ask questions? Do insects? Earthlings like us couldn’t function properly without them. Are questions instinctual?

Does our type of civilization require questions? Asking for something in a courteous and polite way generally gets the information or object we want or need.

The questions of science aren’t that easy because the answers are usually unknown to everyone. Sometimes in science, it’s like asking for a sweetener, but no one knows for sure if a plant like sugarcane exists, and the search begins.

There are at least nineteen forms of the word question, five noun-definitions, two verb-definitions, and the word is used in the expression of at least nine different phrases.

truth doesn’t care

Why do we use our biases quickly, and without a lot of conscious thinking, and use only parts of the information which harmonize with our beliefs, and then use it to establish or decide what is right and wrong?

Once we have an opinion or belief, it’s our nature to want to hang on to it because it feels so good to be without a doubt, right, correct, in the know and on the way.

We add new information when it comes along if it compliments what we already think or believe. And it’s rejected if it conflicts with what we already think or believe. We are all guilty and can change this by becoming more aware.

Science calls this confirmation bias, and confirmation bias gives us reasons to form alliances with like minded folks.

Is it that truth doesn’t care

or not?

can only life

enlightenment

If enlightenment is the answer, what is the question? Is it How do I find a way to be aware of being aware? In other words, how do I quiet myself down and become attentive to reality?

What’s keeping us from being fully aware? Are we gathering, processing, and producing information almost all of the time?

Is the best way to become aware finding a way to stop gathering, processing, and producing information? How? Relax and stop using language for a while every day. With a regular meditation practice, it’s possible to meet our maker. Who is? Our animal.

Is silence not the enemy but may seem to be? So who or what is keeping positive change at bay?

All things are as they are because of all the happenings which come before the present state of things. So things could be better but are as they are and can’t be any other way.
